Such a rare update to this blog... I have been running around for the last week getting ready for my trip and "going within" (a NoCal thing) questioning myself about the school/work decision. I am completely admitted and registered for classes at City College. It's very exciting! There are so many decisions, not the least of which is how I'm going to pay rent. But I'm just taking one step at a time. We will see if & when I run out of cash. I could sell my car (boohoo) or get a roomie or move into a studio or get a part-time job, or work contract CAD jobs. But mentally I have pretty much made the decision. I'm going to think about it one more time during the next 3 weeks.

I finished the Charlotte's Web knitting part! I'm taking it with me so my Mama can help me block it and then I'll do the fringe there. I also finished my brother's blue socks. But I did not have time to spin! So I can't really work on the brown VK cable cardie. Oh man. What am I going to do while I'm there? Might have to find a yarn store. Oh, darn! My brother said my SIL might like a cardie so if she has the euros, we can go shopping. I'm also planning to teach my auntie Heide how to do toe-up socks. Most of the cool sock yarn seems to came from das Vaterland and I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to find some. I'm also taking the quilt I started a while ago in case I get really bored.

I have a trustworthy temp at work, the kitties have 2 catsitters and a back-up, the boy (mmmmh) is covered by liability to drive me to the airport and to pick me up and I trust him to drive to his Mom's house in Santa Cruz as well.

This blog is not fading away, gentle reader, but another eventful week passed, and it's difficult to blog at work right now.

Work was busy but I got all of it done and there is nothing scary waiting to be completed right now. Next week will be equally ridiculous, because I've been volunteered to help the NY office (again) and then I'm going on vacation. So there will be no updates after this week until January. Unless I suddenly get rich this week and buy a laptop. :)

I've been doing totally mindless knitting on the back of the VK Cable Cardie in the bus. Now I need to spin more yarn for that one! Charlotte's Web is progressing and I think I may finish it this week. I have one more sock to finish before Xmas. I'm also beading a necklace for my Mom, but just in case she doesn't like it, I may hit the Gap today.

Tuesday I played hooky and went to City College, ran my a** off dealing with their bureaucracy (dude!) and got myself matriculated. I can register for classes now! So during vacation with my folks I will take one last look at it all and think one more time and decide for good if I will stay in this job or go back to school. School is winning in mind right now. I know it's dangerous to post this kind of stuff, in case some boss type reads it, but I'm just being honest.
